This Privacy Policy explains how Talysman ("Talysman", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website, web application, desktop application, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
This policy covers the Talysman account and web service. Our browser extensions are covered by separate policies: the Chrome and Firefox extension policy and the Microsoft Edge extension policy.
Information we collect
Information you provide. When you create an account or contact us, we collect your name, email address, and any other information you choose to give us, such as messages you send to support.
Billing information. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. Stripe collects and processes your payment card details directly; we never receive or store full card numbers. We retain limited billing records such as your subscription status, plan, and transaction history.
Usage and device information. When you use the Service, we automatically collect information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, features used, and the dates and times of your activity. We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to understand how the Service is used.
Authentication data. If you sign in using a third-party provider such as Google, we receive basic profile information (for example, your name and email address) from that provider in accordance with the permissions you grant.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- provide, operate, and maintain the Service;
- create and manage your account and authenticate your access;
- process payments and manage your subscription;
- respond to your questions and provide customer support;
- send you service-related communications, including transactional emails;
- monitor, analyze, and improve the performance, security, and reliability of the Service; and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
Service providers
We share information with third-party service providers only as needed to operate the Service. These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by confidentiality obligations. They include:
- Supabase — account authentication and application data storage;
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing;
- Resend — delivery of transactional and account emails;
- PostHog and Google Analytics — product usage analytics;
- Sentry — error monitoring and diagnostics; and
- our hosting and infrastructure providers.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising purposes.
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and measure how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect how the Service functions. Our analytics providers help us understand aggregate usage patterns so we can improve the product.
Data retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. We also retain information as required to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International users
We operate the Service from the United States and may process and store your information there and in other countries. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries whose data protection laws may differ from those of your country.
Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
